- Date of birth — stored locally on your device and, for Pro users, synced to secure cloud storage to power the age counter feature.
- Account information — email address and encrypted password when you create an account.
- Usage data — anonymised analytics data about how you interact with the extension (with your consent).
- Device information — browser type and version, collected automatically for compatibility and debugging purposes.
We do not collect sensitive personal data such as financial information, government identification numbers, or health data.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to provide and improve the Motivation Tab service, including:
- Calculating and displaying your precise age counter
- Authenticating your account and maintaining your session
- Syncing your preferences across devices (Pro users)
- Sending service-related communications
- Improving our extension and website based on usage patterns

4. Firebase Authentication
Motivation Tab uses Firebase Authentication (provided by Google) to handle account creation and login. When you sign up or log in, your credentials are processed by Firebase according to Google's security standards. We access only the authentication tokens necessary to identify you within our service.
Firebase Authentication may collect technical information such as IP address and device identifiers for security purposes. This data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review Google's Privacy Policy for more information.
5. Analytics and Cookies
With your explicit consent, we use Google Analytics to collect anonymised usage data. This helps us understand how users interact with the service and guides our product development. Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify individual users.
We use the following types of cookies and local storage:
- Essential cookies — required for authentication and session management. These cannot be disabled.
- Analytics cookies — optional, collected only with your consent via our cookie consent banner.
- Preference storage — local storage entries to remember your theme selection and settings.

We carefully select our third-party providers and require them to maintain appropriate security standards. We do not share your personal data with any other third parties without your explicit consent.
9. Children's Privacy
The Motivation Tab service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will take immediate steps to delete that information.
